- This blog is an experiment designed to explore and share my creative process as an artist. It has taken me 35 years to be able to say, with some conviction; I am an artist. Mostly self-taught, although I have had some good advice over the years from some artists, posing as teachers. I work from the mind out. As my seven-year old niece said, "Some artists paint flowers or houses, but Aunt Anita paints the other side." I like to experiment and learn something new with each painting I do. I want to express on my canvas what a good storywriter expresses with words.
